This skill set is for frontline sales and/or operations staff within travel agencies and tour wholesalers, who provide destination advice for Australian and international destinations.
A set of skills to equip individuals to source and provide information and advice to customers relating to Australian and international destinations and their features.

No occupational licensing, certification or specific legislative requirements apply to this skill set at the time of publication.

STUDY COMMITMENT
This is an online course. You will need to complete approximately 7 hours of online study, each week, for your enrolment duration of 12 weeks.
You can increase the hours of online study per week to complete the course sooner.

Are there any additional entry requirements?

A number of courses may require prospective students to provide additional information such as documentation, an expression of interest, evidence that you are already employed as an apprentice, or preferred prior study (or equivalent).

To successfully complete this course, you will need:
Learners must have access to computer, printer, software programs and Internet to access the TAFE Digital OLS (Online learning support platform).

Credit (or recognition) for modules/units may be granted based on previous learning, studies, work and/or life experiences. Please discuss this with the teaching section when you enrol.

Frontline sales and/or operations staff within travel agencies and tour wholesalers

Achievement of these units provides credit towards SIT30216 Certificate III in Travel.

SITTTSL003 Provide advice on international destinations
SITTTSL004 Provide advice on Australian destinations

To apply for recognition in one or more units you must clearly show that you have the equivalent and relevant skills, knowledge and experience of the unit or group of units.

For Credit transfer where you have completed previous studies either with TAFE NSW or with another tertiary provider complete the Enrolment Adjustment - Credit - Previous Studies form, and include any required evidence.

For Recognition of Prior Learning, attach your evidence to a completed Enrolment Adjustment – Credit – Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) form and submit for assessment.

Trainees: From 2016 if you are starting a traineeship that is on the NSW Skills List, your Smart and Skilled fee for the whole qualification will not be more than $1,000.

This course is fully government-subsidised for eligible students, meaning you will not have to pay any course fees. It is part of a program to help people develop the skills they need to get a job, undertake entry level qualifications or transition to a new job.

If you are not eligible for subsidised training, you can still choose to enrol in the course but will need to pay the full (non-subsidised) fee.
