This course is for people wanting to work as building site managers/supervisors.
You will acquire the skills and knowledge required to manage building and
construction sites for low rise residential and commercial buildings.

To apply for recognition in one or more units you must clearly show that you have the equivalent and relevant skills, knowledge and experience of the unit or group of units.

For Credit transfer where you have completed previous studies either with TAFE NSW or with another tertiary provider complete the Enrolment Adjustment - Credit - Previous Studies form, and include any required evidence.

For Recognition of Prior Learning, attach your evidence to a completed Enrolment Adjustment – Credit – Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) form and submit for assessment.

You will need to purchase additional equipment/ reference books/ consumables for some units. Access to the Building Code of Australia (BCA) and several Australian Standards will also be required
You will need a computer, or regular access to an IBM compatible computer with:
• Windows 2003 or later
• Microsoft Office 2003 or later.

• Access to the internet will be required to obtain resource material for several units, to access the OLS site and to contact teachers. It is recommended that you have MS Internet Explorer V6.0 or later and 128 MB of RAM.

OTEN will provide learning materials in this qualification in the form of printed lesson notes or online learning material.
It will be necessary for you to visit a TAFE library for reference material. Additional optional reference materials are listed in the Course Overview
• assignment work which you should send in to us on a regular basis
