There are no licensing, legislative or certification requirements apply to this qualification at the time of publication.
Work placement provides you with opportunities to practice responding to situations and circumstances that cannot be replicated in a learning or simulated environment. Work placement enhances your learning experience and supports continued learning and assessment in the workplace.
This course has a mandatory 240 hours of work placement to help you to apply your learning in a practical environment.
TAFE NSW will support you in coordinating your work placement agreement within an educational environment.
YOUR READINESS FOR WORK PLACEMENT
Work placement generally only begins once you have had significant contact with your teacher and they are satisfied that you are ready to benefit from on-the-job industry learning.
To be prepared for this course, it is recommended that you have:
- Learning, reading, writing, literacy and numeracy competencies to level 3 of the Australian Core Skills Framework (ACSF)
TAFE NSW Skills Teams will conduct an assessment prior to screen your ability to meet this level. Where necessary, support with these skills can be provided.
