This Tertiary Preparation Course (TPC) is intended to provide participants with the following general education outcomes:
- Year 12 equivalent qualification
- Tertiary Entrance Score (TES) for those seeking entry to university
- entry to further study at diploma level and above in the Vocational Education and Training sector
- entry to careers requiring a year 12 equivalent qualification, including Australian Defence Force
- research and high level written skills
- critical thinking and academic learning skills
- the ability to engage with and use a range of technologies
- preparation for further study in science, technology, engineering and maths vocational areas.

There are no information sessions currently scheduled for this course.

**STUDY COMMITMENT**

This is an online course. You will need to complete approximately 17 hours of online study, each week, for your enrolment duration of 42 weeks.

As well as the online component, there is a requirement to do 9 hours of face to face assessment. Students need to attend compulsory examinations at specific times throughout the year. Address any enquiries about approximate time frames to the Prevocation section at TAFE Digital Strathfield.

You can also expect to complete approximately 5 hours of additional study each week outside of class hours, including research, assessment preparation, exam and class test preparation

If during or after your enrolment, the course in which you are enrolled is updated in line with national industry standards, the Institute reserves the right to transition you into an alternate course. If this becomes necessary, the Institute will advise you of the change and the arrangements which will be available for you to complete your alternate course.

Are there any additional entry requirements?

A number of courses may require prospective students to provide additional information such as documentation, an expression of interest, evidence that you are already employed as an apprentice, or preferred prior study (or equivalent).

To be enrolled in this course, you need to be able to provide evidence that you have:
- a Certificate 2 or Year 10 qualification

To successfully complete this course, you will need:
- access to the Internet and Office 365 applications, basic mathematical instruments, and a scientific calculator.

Credit (or recognition) for modules/units may be granted based on previous learning, studies, work and/or life experiences. Please discuss this with the teaching section when you enrol.

This course may lead to a career in the Australian Defence Forces or employment requiring a Year 12 equivalent qualification.

You don't need to study what you already know! The skills, knowledge and experience you have gained from your previous learning, work experience and life in general may be taken into account.

To apply for recognition in one or more units you must clearly show that you have the equivalent and relevant skills, knowledge and experience of the unit or group of units.

For Credit transfer where you have completed previous studies either with TAFE NSW or with another tertiary provider complete the Enrolment Adjustment - Credit - Previous Studies form, and include any required evidence.

For Recognition of Prior Learning, attach your evidence to a completed Enrolment Adjustment – Credit – Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) form and submit for assessment.
