Re-entering the workforce

Are you re-entering the workforce after a long break? Some people are ready to commit to specific job training but others need to regain some general workplace or study skills first.

Either way, OTEN offers a range of courses from preparatory, entry level workplace skills through to something more advanced. The aim is to give you educational and workplace confidence through completing courses suited to your needs and goals. These include courses to help you improve your English language skills, or your basic literacy and numeracy, or your job seeking skills. We also have some special programs that are just what you're looking for.

Re-entering the workforce and starting a new career requires some planning. What are you looking for? Do you want to refresh old skills or start an entirely new career direction? You might like to look through a range of resources on this topic on our WSI Careers & Employment Portal and Your Decision.

Support and additional career advice is available before you apply to enrol with OTEN through our fee free Counselling and Career Development Service. You can also search 'find a course' for the courses OTEN offers.
