Conservation and Land Management
Conservation and Land Management is an industry dealing with the management and rehabilitation of land that has been degraded as a result of human activities.
At OTEN we provide courses by distance education in Conversation and Land Management at Certificate II, Certificate III and Diploma levels.
Conservation and Land Management involves working on bush land sites that have been impacted or disturbed for a variety of reasons. This means they are often weed infested, subject to soil erosion or have been damaged in some way. At a Certificate II or III level you will learn the techniques used to restore degraded environments and implement ecological restoration practices such as bush regeneration and revegetation works. At Diploma level you will learn how to assess sites, conduct vegetation surveys and develop management strategies for degraded bush land areas.
