OTEN's Firefighting teaching section provides training for volunteers and paid employees in the firefighting industry. Training offered by OTEN complements training delivered by fire-fighting agencies, and enables employees in the fire industry to attain units of competency or qualifications to attain skills for promotional or further career opportunities.
The main areas of training are in fire prevention, firefighting, building fire safety, community education, and first level management in a public safety agency.
OTEN will be conducting practical training of fire fighting at basic and advanced levels at the Nirimba Fire ground.
